Hello,
Robyn here!
Who would
like to see some really easy Christmas cards? I've made a few that won't take
you very long at all, using some of the lovely Do Crafts Range of Products.
(I hope you'll forgive any layout issues, I'm still learning how to use the blog!!!)
These
cards are made using a simple to use the "Lucy Cromwell at Christmas A4 Decoupage Card Kit - Festive", you get two of each
design - making 8 cards in total (all details of products used are shown
below).
The 3D
image of the door was pushed out (no cutting required), and layered with foam
squares/dots (you can use silicon if you prefer). Then the 3D image was
layered onto a piece of red elephant paper cut to 80mm x 125mm). The red
paper was then layered onto a green cardstock cut to 90mm x 135mm. This
was then layered onto a standard A5 card, the base being a white A4 cut in
half, then folded in half again (can be done using a score board).
The 3D
image of the tree was pushed out (no cutting required), and layered with foam
squares/dots (you can use silicon if you prefer). Then the 3D image was
layered onto a piece of patterned green paper with dots (which came with the
decoupage pack). This was then layered onto a standard A5 card, the base
being a white A4 cut in half, then folded in half again (can be done using a
score board). To finish off, I cut out a tag out of green
cardstock, and put a Christmas sticker on it, with a piece of gold corded
ribbon.
The 3D
image of the wreath was pushed out (no cutting required), and layered with foam
squares/dots (you can use silicon if you prefer). Then the 3D image was
layered onto a piece of patterned red cardstock cut to 130mm x 130mm.
Before sticking everything down, I distressed the edges of the cardstock using
the Tonic Tool Cutting Set. This was then layered onto green cardstock
(distressed the same way) - I used a 12x12 sheet of green cardstock, cut in
half and then folded in half!. And to make the card really stand out, I
place four gold corners in each corner.
The last
image was once again pushed out (no cutting required), and layered with foam
squares/dots (you can use silicon if you prefer). Then the 3D image was
layered onto a piece of patterned red paper from the decoupage pack, cut to
100mm x 150mm. This was then layered onto a standard A5 card, the base being a
white A4 cut in half, then folded in half again (can be done using a score
board).
The final
card was made using the "Papermania First Noel 6x6 Decoupage Kit". Everything you need is included in the
kit (just add foam). Basically, it’s pushing out the
images from the 3D Sheets, using your foam or silicon glue to put it all
together, and voila! Your card is made!
The kit comes with an expandable envelope.
Keep an eye on our Christmas Card Gallery, we'll be adding more cards soon!! Our gallery can be found here: http://www.flutterbuys.com.au/gallery/thumbnails.php?album=62.
Til next time,
Robyn
